WITH STRANGERS
Built in the shadows of rain
covered Vancouver, Sex With Strangers are the city's
greatest purveyors of robot-rock.
Their
debut EP, "A Future Tragedy", was released
in 2007.
"The
Modern Seduction" expands upon the EP's concept
of a dystopian future where the free thinkers and liberty
seeking people (The Formers) are forced to take their
'live-forever lifestyle' underground, away from the
totalitarian regime (The Persuader) that rules the surface
world. A truly vast soundscape, this concept record
has been compared to an electro amalgamation of "The
Wall" and "Rage in Eden", whatever
that means.
In
early 2009, SWS returned to the studio to begin work
on a new 7" single and a full-length follow-up
to The Modern Seduction.
